Jane and Kevin have run the Cross Keys for 6 years and have made Upwood home for themselves and their family. Between them they have many years experience in the pub and restaurant trade in Cambridgeshire. Kevin has been a chef for 35 years, he started his training at the Old Bridge Hotel in Huntingdon and has worked at the George at Stamford, the Ferryboat Inn, Brown's of Cambridge and Girton College to name a few. Jane has 14 years experience as a restaurant manager and between them they have planned and organised many weddings and events over the years. They have recently been awarded Huntingdonshire Pub of the Year for 2009 as awarded by Huntingdon District Council in conjunction with the Hunts Post Business Awards Food & Drink Festival.

The judges described it as village pub that has built up a reputation for good food and beer that attracts customers from far and wide. The pub serves freshly prepared food and has regular speciality days with menus designed to fit the theme. Staff were described as friendly and chatty who add to the family-friendly atmosphere.'
